Solar Track Control Unit
Solar Track units are designed for use in remote
locations where power is not readily available.
The unit supplies 3V from a single solar panel
and is capable of charging up to 2 NiCad wet
plate cells or a single 2V lead acid battery.
Adjustment resistor and surge protection as
well as metering to assist in current and voltage
indications is supplied.
Provided in a weather proof stainless steel
enclosure with optional pole mounting brackets.
Compartmentalised chambers which allow for
ventilation of batteries separate to the control
equipment.
The Exectronics Solar Track Unit is designed to provide reliable low-voltage power to railway signalling equipment in remote locations where conventional power sources are not readily available. Importantly, this Solar Track Control Unit delivers a regulated 3V supply from a single solar panel and is capable of charging up to two NiCad wet plate cells or a single 2V lead acid battery.
Integrated adjustment resistance, surge protection and metering are provided to assist with system monitoring and commissioning, enabling technicians to observe current and voltage conditions during operation. In addition, the Solar Track Control Unit includes features that support ease of commissioning and ongoing maintenance.
The equipment is housed within a weatherproof stainless steel enclosure, with pole mounting brackets available for straightforward trackside installation. A compartmentalised internal layout allows for ventilation of batteries separately from the control electronics, supporting safe operation and long service life in harsh railway environments.
